Description
The Conde Valdemar Tempranillo Rioja DOC 2023 is a red wine full of character from the renowned Spanish wine-growing region of Rioja Alavesa, a sub-region of the famous La Rioja. The traditional Conde Valdemar winery, known for its elegant combination of tradition and innovation, vinifies this single-varietal Tempranillo with great sensitivity and an awareness of its origin. The vines grow on clay and limestone soils, which give the wine structure and mineral freshness - ideal conditions for authentic, fruity red wines.
Vinification is temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks - at 26 to 28 °C for 10 to 12 days - in order to optimise the fruit and structure. The result is a juicy, modern Rioja with a clear grape variety identity. The wine is sealed with a natural cork and offers ageing potential until at least 2027. The cuvée consists of Garnacha and Viura, with Tempranillo taking the leading role - an exciting combination that ensures aromatic depth and complexity of flavour.
