The SOMMOS Reserva Somontano D.O. 2020 is a full-bodied, complex red wine from the Somontano wine-growing region in northern Spain, situated at the foot of the Pyrenees. The region is renowned for its distinctive climatic conditions – hot days, cool nights – and a variety of soils that produce characterful wines with depth and finesse. The visionary Bodega SOMMOS winery, which is as highly regarded for its modern architecture and technological precision as it is for its natural winemaking practices, has released this Reserva – a wine that combines elegance, structure and ageing potential.

The 2020 vintage was vinified from a selection of ripe grapes, primarily Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah. Following vinification, the wine is aged for at least 14 months in French oak barriques, followed by further bottle ageing, which rounds out its aromas and lends it a smooth depth. With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol., the SOMMOS Reserva is powerful, complex and exceptionally well-balanced. A wine that combines both the modern and traditional characteristics of Spain – full of character, long-lasting and a delight to drink.
