The Meteoriten Likör Asteroid is a unique cassis liqueur with a gin base that surprises and delights in equal measure with its origin, depth of flavour and balance. Made in the heart of the Nördlinger Ries, Germany's largest meteorite crater, this liqueur combines the intense, fruity notes of ripe blackcurrants with the characterful Meteoriten Gin, which is distilled from wild juniper from this special region.

Asteroid was created by Dr Karl Scheible with the aim of reinterpreting the depth and aroma of a classic blackcurrant liqueur - in combination with the wildness and resinous spiciness of the region's typical juniper. The result is a full-bodied, natural liqueur that not only bears its origins in its name, but also in its flavour. The composition develops an intense fruity sweetness, supported by an invigorating acidity structure that gives the liqueur freshness and character. The Meteoriten Gin, on which the Asteroid is based, provides depth, subtle spice and the typical, slightly resinous forest note, which gives the product an elegant, mature nuance.

The result is a multi-layered moment of pleasure - like a late summer's day in granny's berry garden, with a balanced interplay between sweetness and acidity, fruitiness and tart depth.
