The Tullamore D.E.W. Rum Cask Finish is a particularly characterful Irish whiskey with 43% alcohol by volume, which is given a tropical, fruity flavour thanks to a finish in Caribbean rum casks. Bottled in a high-quality 0.7-litre bottle, this whiskey comes from the traditional Tullamore distillery, which is known for its smooth, triple-distilled style. Maturation in exotic Demerara rum casks from Guyana gives this whiskey added depth and sweet-spicy complexity.
The base is a classic blend of grain, malt and pot still whiskey, as is typical of Tullamore D.E.W.. The rum cask finish provides additional flavours of dried fruit, exotic spices and fine sugar cane, which blend harmoniously with the mild, creamy structure of the whiskey.
