The Tenuta San Guido Sassicaia 2022 is a living legend - an iconic Super Tuscan that has been recognised worldwide for decades as one of Italy's greatest red wines. As the only wine with its own DOC - the Bolgheri Sassicaia DOC - it stands for uncompromising quality, depth and elegance. It comes exclusively from the famous Tenuta San Guido winery, which established a completely new understanding of quality in Tuscany with Sassicaia in the 1960s.

The 2022 vintage is expressive and structured with exceptional ageing potential. As usual, the cuvée consists of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Cabernet Franc. The vines grow on gravelly soils - hence the name "Sassicaia" ("stony") - in the hills near Bolgheri, just a few kilometres from the Tyrrhenian Sea. After the harvest, fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing for around 25 months in French barriques (some new, some second-use), followed by bottle ageing.

With 13.5% alcohol by volume, a natural cork stopper and ageing potential of over 25 years, this Sassicaia 2022 is an experience for connoisseurs and collectors - powerful, precise, aristocratic.
