The maturation takes place in a double cask maturation of bourbon oak casks and smaller quarter casks. The smaller cask volume of the quarter casks increases the contact between the wood and the distillate, creating additional intensity, structure and richness. This process gives the Benriach Quarter Casks 46% a multi-layered profile with harmoniously integrated sweetness and spicy depth. Bottled at 46% and presented in a gift box, this Speyside whisky with a quarter cask finish impresses with a balance of fruit, vanilla and oak spice and is aimed at lovers of complex matured Scotch whiskies.
