The Salzl Cabernet Franc Premium 2020 is a majestic red wine from Burgenland's Seewinkel region and is undoubtedly one of Austria's great character wines. Made from 100% Cabernet Franc, this premium wine is a perfect balance of power, elegance and terroir expression. The vines thrive on paratschernosem soils consisting of loamy sand with a high gravel content - a soil structure that ensures optimum drainage and deep rooting and gives the wine its distinctive minerality.

Vinification is carried out using traditional methods: 18-day maceration, alcoholic fermentation in steel tanks at 30 °C, followed by malolactic fermentation. The subsequent 24-month ageing in small oak barrels - 100% new wood - gives the wine depth, density and noble mature flavours. With 14% alcohol by volume, an opulent structure and fine elegance, the Cabernet Franc has enormous potential - ready to drink from 2024, with a shelf life until at least 2040 with optimal storage.
