The Masi Costasera Amarone Classico 2020 is an iconic representative of the traditional Valpolicella region and is one of Italy's style-defining Amarone wines. As the flagship of the renowned Masi Agricola, this Amarone combines origin, craftsmanship and elegance at the highest level. The term "Costasera" refers to the west-facing slopes of the classic Valpolicella zone, where the vines benefit from particularly high levels of evening sun. This extends the ripening period and ensures particularly well-balanced and deep grapes.

The cuvée of Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara is vinified using the classic appassimento method: The carefully selected grapes are dried on straw mats for several months after harvesting. During this process, they lose water and gain sugar and flavour intensity. Fermentation is followed by a long ageing period in Slavonian and French oak barrels, which gives the wine additional structure, complexity and fine flavour. The 2020 vintage is particularly powerful and harmonious with an alcohol content of 15% vol. - a true Amarone with depth and great ageing potential.
