The IRO Zweigelt Ried Ungerberg 2024 is an expressive single-vineyard wine from Lake Neusiedl that impressively reflects the potential of the Zweigelt grape variety. Ried Ungerberg, an outstandingly exposed site in the Heideboden area, offers ideal conditions for powerful yet elegant red wines with its deep, heat-retaining soils. The IRO winery utilises this terroir masterfully and, with the 2024 vintage, is bringing a Zweigelt to the bottle that impresses with its depth, structure and ageing potential.

The wine is carefully matured in small and large wooden barrels, ensuring a fine balance between fruit and flavour. With an alcohol content of 14% vol., this Zweigelt is powerful yet supple - a characterful representative of its grape variety that is both a joy to drink young and capable of ageing. The wine is already complex and charming, with elegant fruit sweetness, silky tannins and finely integrated wood flavours. A wine with origin, depth and finesse that will continue to develop wonderfully.
