The Gesellmann Blaufränkisch Creitzer Reserve Mittelburgenland DAC 2022 14% vol. 0.75 l is a red wine full of character from the heart of Mittelburgenland, a region that is appreciated worldwide for its powerful and elegant Blaufränkisch wines. The Gesellmann winery has been one of the flagships of Austrian viticulture for generations and stands for the highest quality, craftsmanship and loyalty to the terroir.


The vines from which this wine is made are between 20 and 66 years old and produce small-berried, highly concentrated grapes. They are carefully harvested by hand between the beginning and middle of October. The traditional mash fermentation takes place spontaneously in steel tanks, with the mash cap being submerged 2 to 4 times a day to achieve maximum colour and aroma yield. The wine then undergoes malolactic fermentation in oak barrels and then matures for 20 months in used small oak barrels, which gives it additional structure, finesse and depth. Bottling took place in October 2024. With optimal storage, this wine is ready to drink until at least 2034 and is therefore also ideal for collectors.
