The SOMMOS Colección Gewürztraminer Somontano D.O.P. 2024 is a fascinating Spanish white wine from the innovative Somontano wine region in Aragón, at the foot of the Pyrenees. Made from 100% Gewürztraminer, this wine impressively demonstrates how international grape varieties can develop under the special climatic conditions of Somontano. The soils consist mainly of limestone and gravel, combined with warm summer days and cool nights, allowing the grapes to develop their full flavour, freshness and elegance.
After careful manual harvesting, the grapes are processed gently. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the varietal fruitiness and flavour density as well as possible. With an alcohol content of 12.5% vol., this wine from the SOMMOS Colección Linie is fresh, expressive and elegant at the same time. It epitomises the modern winemaking philosophy of the SOMMOS winery, which is attracting international attention with its futuristic architecture and innovative cellar technology.
