The Viña Costeira Meu Mencía Vintage 2024 is a Spanish red wine full of character from the traditional D.O. Ribeiro region in Galicia. Ribeiro region in Galicia. It is made from 100% of the indigenous Mencía grape variety, which is known for its fruity flavour and elegant structure. The vines thrive on sandy, gravelly soils with a granite base, which give the wine its fine minerality and depth. Thanks to the Atlantic climate with warm days and cool nights, the grapes develop a special balance between ripeness, freshness and finesse.


The grapes are harvested selectively by hand and processed gently. Vinification is temperature-controlled in stainless steel tanks in order to optimally preserve the freshness and fruit intensity of the Mencía grape. With 12.5% alcohol by volume, this wine is pleasantly light, yet at the same time complex and elegant. The name "Meu" means "one's own" in Galician and symbolises the philosophy of the Viña Costeira winery to produce wines with the utmost care and in harmony with nature. With a drinking maturity until 2026, it is ideal both for immediate consumption and for short bottle ageing.
