With an alcohol content of 47.3% vol., a maturation period of 12 years and bottling in an elegant 0.7-litre bottle with a high-quality gift box (UK), this limited edition is aimed at discerning connoisseurs who want to discover exceptional cask maturations.
This single malt is particularly characterised by its maturation in a European Oak Butt, which was previously filled with sweet dessert wine from Montilla, Spain. These casks emphasise the typical sweet honey note of Balvenie, which is perfectly balanced by rich vanilla oak and a warming spiciness. Each bottling comes from a single cask and has been carefully selected by Malt Master Kelsey McKechnie himself. This gives each bottle an individual character and emphasises the special boutique approach of this series.
