The Marqués de Riscal Próximo Rioja DOC 2021 is a modern, fruit-driven red wine from the renowned Rioja wine region in Spain and a perfect example of the quality awareness and tradition of Marqués de Riscal, one of Spain's leading wineries since 1858. This wine combines the classic character of Rioja with a fresh, contemporary style - elegant, harmonious and full of youthful fruit.
Próximo 2021 is made from 100% Tempranillo grapes grown in the best vineyards in Rioja Alavesa. The climate of this region, with its cool nights and sunny days, ensures slow ripening of the grapes and a perfect balance between fruit, acidity and structure. After temperature-controlled fermentation, the wine matures for several months in American oak barrels, which gives it its fine flavour and velvety texture. With an alcohol content of 14% vol., Marqués de Riscal Próximo stands for expressive, modern Rioja enjoyment with elegance and depth.
