Description
The Gérard Bertrand Côte des Roses Chardonnay 2024 is an elegant and sun-drenched white wine from the Languedoc region that embodies the Mediterranean joie de vivre - the "Art de Vivre" - in its purest form. It comes from carefully selected vineyards that stretch along the French Mediterranean coast and give the wine its unmistakable character.
The region's soils are extremely varied and consist of hard limestone from the garrigue, slate and pebbles brought by rivers. This terroir gives the wine its mineral freshness and aromatic depth. The semi-arid Mediterranean climate with mild winters and the influence of the sea as well as the altitude ensure a perfect balance between ripeness and freshness of the grapes. The wine is vinified from 100% Chardonnay and matured with the utmost care to preserve the full expressiveness of the grape variety. With 13.5% alcohol by volume, the Côte des Roses Chardonnay has a modern, balanced style - creamy, fresh and aromatic at the same time.
The iconic bottle, whose base is in the shape of a rose - created by a young designer from the renowned École Boulle in Paris - deserves special attention. It symbolises the beauty, elegance and sophistication that also characterise this wine - a Chardonnay that presents itself like a "bouquet of roses": sensual, fragrant and full of life.
