The Eichenwald DER GEISTESBLITZ Blaufränkisch Reserve 2022 is an outstanding red wine from Central Burgenland that expresses the terroir of its origin with precision and elegance. As a single-varietal Blaufränkisch, it exemplifies the characterful, mineral-spicy style that has made Burgenland internationally famous. The warm Pannonian influences meet cool night-time temperatures here - ideal conditions for complex flavours, dense structure and fine acidity.


The wine was matured for 24 months in barriques (first and second passage), giving it depth, structure and a noble woody note without losing any of its freshness. The 2022 vintage is exceptionally clear and characterised by its terroir: precise, sinewy and full of character. In the magnum bottle (1.5 litres), its development unfolds particularly harmoniously and allows for impressive ageing potential.
