Kōloa Kaua'i Spice is a fine rum-based spirit drink from the tropical paradise of Kaua'i in Hawaii. With an alcohol content of 44% vol., this speciality combines authentic craftsmanship, exotic flavours and the island's rich sugar cane tradition to create an intense, spicy-sweet taste experience.


When the Polynesians once left their homeland in the South Pacific and settled in Hawaii, among other places, they brought sugar cane and their knowledge of its cultivation with them. Commercial sugar production began in the village of Kōloa as early as the 1830s - and the distillation of molasses spirits only a little later. This tradition is continued today by the Kōloa Rum Company, which has been producing premium rum-based spirits since 2009.


Kōloa Kaua'i Spice is distilled with great care in a copper pot still using a discontinuous process. Only Hawaiian sugar cane is used, supplemented by pure rainwater from the island's mountains. The result is an aromatically complex spiced spirit drink, which carries the sun, flavour and attitude to life of Hawaii.
