The Elijah Craig Kentucky Straight Rye Whiskey 94 Proof is the first extra-aged rye whiskey bottling within the award-winning Elijah Craig family and takes the brand's signature craftsmanship to a new, spicier dimension. At 47% alcohol by volume (94 proof), this whiskey combines the characteristic depth and smoothness of Elijah Craig bourbons with the aromatic intensity of a classic American rye.


The Elijah Craig Straight Rye is produced using a similar distillation process to the distillery's Small Batch Bourbon, but with a key difference in the mashbill: instead of a corn-fuelled recipe, this whiskey is based on a minimum of 51% rye, supplemented by corn and malted barley. This combination provides a distinctive balance between the spiciness of the rye and the sweetness of the corn, while the long maturation in charred American oak barrels gives it its characterful depth and soft structure.


The Elijah Craig Rye is therefore a classic representative of the Kentucky style - robust, aromatic and yet wonderfully harmonious. The careful selection of barrels and the expertise of the master distiller result in a whiskey that impresses both on its own and in classic cocktails.
