The speciality of Heather Cask Strength lies in its production: it is distilled from 100% peat-smoked barley from Hobbister Moor, an area known for its aromatic peat infused with purple heather. This heather gives the peat, and therefore the whisky, its characteristic note of fine, floral smoke, which subtly blends in with the other flavours without overpowering them.

This single malt is bottled at cask strength at 63.6% vol. without chill-filtration to preserve its full intensity. It is matured in a combination of first-fill oak casks seasoned with American sherry and selected refill casks, creating a harmonious interplay of sweetness, spice and smoke.
