The Aalborg Taffel Akvavit 45% vol. 0.7 litre is one of the best-known classic aquavits and has been produced according to the original recipe by Isidor Henius since its introduction in 1846. Originally produced in Denmark, it has been produced in Hagan, Norway, since 2015, consistently maintaining traditional production methods. As a clear, unadulterated aquavit, it is based - similar to gin - on distillation with selected botanicals, but with the typical focus on caraway and dill, which determine the basic character. The Taffel Akvavit is still the best-selling aquavit from Aalborg, which impressively emphasises its importance within the Nordic spirits culture.
