The K+K Kirnbauer FOREVER 2020 is a strictly limited cuvée that is vinified exclusively in outstanding vintages and is offered in a high-quality wooden box. The blend of 45 per cent Merlot, 38 per cent Cabernet Sauvignon and 17 per cent Cabernet Franc forms the basis for a red wine of exceptional density and structure. The grape varieties are processed according to variety and location before being carefully cuvetted after individual ageing. Vinification involves gentle destemming and precise selection to ensure that only perfectly ripe grapes are processed. Controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks is followed by a 21-day maceration period and malolactic fermentation in barriques. Ageing takes place over 38 months in exclusively new French barriques, which significantly shapes the character of this wine and supports its enormous ageing potential. With 14 per cent vol. and a structure designed for Langs, the FOREVER 2020 is ideal for long storage - it can be enjoyed until around 2045.


Its origins in soils such as sandy loam, red loam and heavy clay give the wine depth and power, while the careful cuvetting brings together its elegant yet powerful character with precision. The bottling date in spring 2023 allows for a perfect combination of the individual components and creates a red wine that both impresses in its youth and continues to develop its complexity over decades.
