The Frescobaldi Nipozzano Chianti Rúfina Riserva GOLD EDITION DOCG 2020 in the 3x0.75-litre gift box comes from the traditional Castello Nipozzano, the historic heart of the winery, which is located around 35 kilometres north-east of Florence. The wine is produced in the renowned Chianti Rúfina area, one of the oldest and most prestigious sub-zones of Chianti, which is known for its elegant style and cooler microclimate. The cuvée is predominantly based on Sangiovese, supplemented by Malvasia Nera, Colorino, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, which together characterise the complex structure and multi-layered character of this Riserva. After crushing and destemming, maceration takes place for around 25 days with regular pumping over before malolactic fermentation takes place directly after alcoholic fermentation. The subsequent 25-month maturation phase, which takes place partly in wooden barrels and partly in stainless steel tanks, gives the wine its depth, elegance and balance.


The GOLD EDITION represents the combination of tradition, origin and a stylistically clearly defined interpretation of Chianti Rúfina.
