The Kerschbaum Blaufränkisch 2023 comes from one of the most renowned red wine producers in Mittelburgenland, a region that is considered a classic Blaufränkisch terroir and offers ideal conditions for this grape variety. The selected grapes were fermented on the skins for 14 days, allowing the structure, colour intensity and varietal typicity to be optimally developed. The malolactic fermentation took place partly in wooden barrels, while the subsequent ageing took place in barriques that had been used several times and in large oval oak barrels. This combination supports the balance between fruit-driven clarity and a subtle, well-integrated woody flavour. The 2023 vintage is a modern, clear Blaufränkisch that authentically reflects the strengths of the grape variety - structure, flavour and elegance. The recommended serving temperature of 15 °C emphasises its fresh, accessible style.
