Selected single malts from various Mars distilleries are blended together for Mars The Y.A. Slightly Peated #04. Its character is characterised by the deliberate use of a subtle peat influence, which gives the whisky additional depth without masking the clear, elegant style of Japanese whiskies. Maturation takes place predominantly in ex-bourbon casks, supplemented by other carefully selected oak casks to achieve balance, structure and complexity.
