The Pfneisl Shiraz MARIA'S VINEYARD 2022 is an expressive Austrian quality red wine from Central Burgenland that impressively reflects the estate's long-standing passion for the Shiraz grape variety. Produced by the renowned Pfneisl winery, this wine comes from the Satz and Höblisch vineyards in the Alte Deutschkreutzer Weingebirge. The history of this wine is closely linked to the family, as the Shiraz vines were planted on the inherited property of Grandma Maria, to whom this special bottling is dedicated. The Pfneisl Shiraz MARIA'S VINEYARD is vinified dry and matures for 18 months in barriques, creating depth, flavour and structure. With an alcohol content of 14.5%, the 2022 vintage is full-bodied, juicy and harmoniously balanced. The style combines ripe fruit with fine flavour, mineral tension and a very long finish. Bottled with natural cork, this Shiraz from Austria is still slightly closed and promises good ageing potential that will continue to develop its complexity over the coming years.
