The Pfneisl Ried Altes Weingebirge Blaufränkisch Mittelburgenland DAC Reserve 2021 is a deep, long-lived Austrian quality red wine that impressively reflects the historical origins of the Altes Weingebirge vineyard in Deutschkreutz. Produced by the renowned Pfneisl winery, this Blaufränkisch DAC Reserve comes from the oldest vineyard site in the region, where viticulture was already practised in Roman times. The vines are rooted at up to 255 metres above sea level in loess-loam soils with a light sandy layer and limestone in the subsoil; the Pannonian climate, influenced by Lake Neusiedl, ensures ripeness, structure and aromatic depth.


The Pfneisl Blaufränkisch Ried Altes Weingebirge is matured dry and matures for an impressive 36 months in new 500-litre barrels, giving the wine density, complexity and exceptional ageing potential.
