It comes from Straden and represents the local wine level of the Vulkanland Steiermark DAC, where manual labour in the vineyard, clear origin and structured ageing take centre stage. The renowned Weingut Krispel, which stands for terroir-driven wines with a recognisable character, is responsible for this wine.
The 2024 vintage is balanced and calm, with a focus on texture and depth. Ageing for six months in large wooden barrels gives the Pinot Gris substance and creaminess without masking its freshness. With 13% alcohol by volume, low acidity and a dry flavour profile, the wine is round, harmonious and very well integrated. The screw cap ensures uncomplicated enjoyment, while the storage potential until 2030 emphasises the development prospects of this Vulkanland Steiermark DAC.
