The Hannes Reeh Chardonnay Unplugged 2023 is an expressive Chardonnay from Austria that uncompromisingly embodies terroir, character and authenticity. In particularly strong vintages, there is not even any filtration, resulting in a particularly purist varietal wine.


The 2023 Chardonnay comes from vines aged between 15 and 20 years and was harvested at 21° KMW. Spontaneous fermentation took place in stainless steel tanks, whilst subsequent ageing in barriques lends this Austrian white wine additional structure and depth. With an alcohol content of 14 % vol., this Burgenland Chardonnay is powerful, yet precise and well-balanced. The 2023 vintage underlines the stylistic signature of Hannes Reeh, who is renowned for modern, terroir-driven quality wines from Burgenland. It has ageing potential until 2030, making this barrique-aged Chardonnay suitable for both immediate enjoyment and further maturation.
