The Old St. Croix A.H. Riise NON PLUS ULTRA La Galante is an exclusive premium rum blend with an alcohol content of 43.4 per cent, presented in a 0.7-litre decanter, and forms part of A.H. Riise’s renowned Ultra Premium Collection. The name ‘Non Plus Ultra’ comes from Latin and means ‘nothing beyond’. According to legend, the expression once denoted the boundary between the known and the unknown world; today, it stands as a symbol of the spirit of discovery, the highest quality and exceptional craftsmanship. The La Galante edition is named after the ship Santa Maria La Galante, on which Christopher Columbus reached the island of St Croix and the West Indies. This bottling thus links the history of the Caribbean with the long tradition of A.H. Riise.


Only carefully selected distillates from renowned distilleries in the Caribbean and Central America are used for the Non Plus Ultra La Galante. After blending, the mixture matures in oak casks that previously contained dessert and liqueur wines. This special cask maturation lends the rum its exceptional depth, a creamy texture and elegant fruity and woody notes. The characteristic hint of orange and citrus fruits emphasises the floral essence of the West Indies and makes this exclusive bottling an extraordinary taste experience. Each batch is limited to a maximum of 2,000 individually numbered bottles and is presented in an elegantly faceted decanter. Furthermore, Non Plus Ultra La Galante has been awarded the highest rating by the International Taste Institute, confirming its exceptional standards of quality.
