Description
The Frauwallner Sauvignon Blanc Vulkanland Steiermark DAC 2025, 12% ABV, 0.75 l, is a precise, terroir-driven Sauvignon Blanc from Styria that impressively reflects the distinctive character of the Vulkanland Steiermark DAC region. The renowned Frauwallner winery is synonymous with natural viticulture, selective hand-harvesting and a clean, elegant style that authentically unites the grape variety and its origin. This Styrian Sauvignon Blanc impresses with its freshness, structure and an aromatically precise character.
The grapes come from carefully tended Lager with soils of volcanic rock, basalt and limestone gravel, which lend the 2025 Sauvignon Blanc its characteristic minerality. Following the hand-harvest, the grapes undergo a maceration period of around 2 to 3 days, which intensifies the aromas and structure. Temperature-controlled fermentation and ageing in stainless steel tanks preserve the pure fruit and typical freshness of this Austrian white wine. The wine is filtered and bottled with a screw cap, which preserves its precise style. With an alcohol content of 12% vol., this Vulkanland DAC Sauvignon Blanc is lively and well-balanced. The recommended serving temperature is 10 to 12 °C, and it will be at its best until around 2028.
