The Auchentoshan THREE WOOD Single Malt Scotch Whisky 43% Vol. 0.7 l is a classic Lowland single malt Scotch whisky that is appreciated for its elegant style and exceptional smoothness. The distillery is characterised by the rare triple distillation, which gives this single malt a particularly soft texture and a fine aromatic structure. The name Three Wood refers to the complex cask maturation: the whisky is first aged for around 10 years in ex-bourbon casks, then for around 2 years in Oloroso sherry casks and finally for around 6 months in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks, resulting in a complex balance of fruit, sweetness and spice. This Lowland whisky is considered an accessible bottling and is ideal for both beginners and connoisseurs looking for an elegant and aromatic Scotch whisky. It is bottled at 43%, contains colouring and impressively demonstrates Auchentoshan's typical house style.
