Description
The Gérard Bertrand Art de Vivre Languedoc Vin Blanc 2023 13% Vol. 0.75 l is a characterful white wine from the Languedoc and a tribute to the Mediterranean culture, landscape and wine tradition of southern France. Produced by the renowned Gérard Bertrand winery, this wine is based on the traditional Clairette grape variety, a historic variety of the Mediterranean region. The wine symbolises the combination of millennia-old viticultural culture and modern cellar technology and represents the philosophy of the Art de Vivre philosophy, which reflects the Mediterranean lifestyle and cultural heritage of the region.
The grapes are selectively harvested between the beginning and end of September, with the harvest taking place in the early hours of the morning between 5am and 8am in order to optimise the freshness of the grapes. They are then pressed directly, using only the first press juices. The pressing takes place under neutral gas to protect the aromatic purity. Fermentation takes place at a controlled 13-15°C and is deliberately stopped by Kaltern, resulting in a slightly sweetened white wine with around 12 g of residual sugar. Another characteristic feature is the unusual bottle made of natural earth, which is reminiscent of ancient amphorae and symbolises the historical origins of viticulture in the Mediterranean region.
