Description
The Hillinger Pinot Blanc Leithaberg DAC 2018 in a 3-litre bottle is a Leithaberg DAC white wine from Burgenland full of character that impressively reflects the signature of the renowned region around the Leithaberg. This elegant Pinot Blanc from Austria combines origin, precision and traditional vinification to create a complex and multi-layered moment of pleasure. The limestone and slate-rich soils give this Burgenland white wine a distinctive minerality and, together with the long lees ageing, provide structure, depth and expressiveness.
Only selectively hand-picked grapes were used for this high-quality Austrian DAC wine. After a 16-hour maceration period, spontaneous fermentation took place in large wooden barrels with a fermentation period of four months. The wine then matured for around three months on the full lees and a further twelve months on the fine lees. This elaborate ageing gives the Pinot Blanc aged in wooden barrels additional complexity, a fine creaminess and a harmoniously integrated flavour. At 12.5% vol., this Leithaberg white wine is both powerful and elegant. The generous 3-litre bottle is ideal for festive occasions, sophisticated dinner evenings or as an impressive accompaniment to meals for several people. For lovers of Pinot Blanc, Burgenland white wine, Leithaberg DAC, Austrian quality wine and mineral white wines, this vintage offers a stylish and terroir-influenced flavour experience with ageing potential until 2025.
