Only selectively hand-picked grapes were used for this high-quality Austrian DAC wine. After a 16-hour maceration period, spontaneous fermentation took place in large wooden barrels with a fermentation period of four months. The wine then matured for around three months on the full lees and a further twelve months on the fine lees. This elaborate ageing gives the Pinot Blanc aged in wooden barrels additional complexity, a fine creaminess and a harmoniously integrated flavour. At 12.5% vol., this Leithaberg white wine is both powerful and elegant.
