The Tenuta Sette Ponti Oreno Toscana IGT 2023, 14.5% ABV, in a 0.75 l bottle, is one of Italy’s most renowned Super Tuscans and embodies the perfect blend of international elegance and Tuscan terroir. Produced by the prestigious Tenuta Sette Ponti estate, this iconic Toscana IGT red wine was first created in 1999 with the aim of producing a great Bordeaux blend with a distinctive Tuscan identity. The wine owes its name to the small stream ‘Oreno’, which flows through those plots of the estate where the particularly clay-rich soils provide ideal conditions for Merlot.


The vineyards are situated in central Tuscany at an altitude of around 250 metres above sea level and benefit from a southerly aspect. The cuvée consists of 45% Merlot, 40% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot. Whilst the Merlot develops its full richness on the clay-rich soils, the Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc benefit from the gravelly plots, which ensure optimal drainage and natural temperature regulation. Petit Verdot complements the blend with additional spice and aromatic depth. The result is an exceptional premium red wine from Tuscany that combines power, elegance and harmony at the very highest level. With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol., the Oreno 2023 is concentrated, complex and, at the same time, remarkably precise – a wine with great ageing potential and international renown.
