The Tenuta San Guido Guidalberto IGT 2024, 13.5% ABV, in a 0.75 l bottle, is an elegant and expressive Super Tuscan from Tuscany that bears the unmistakable signature of the legendary Tenuta San Guido winery. As the ‘little brother’ of the world-famous Sassicaia, the Guidalberto Toscana IGT has long since made a name for itself and is now one of Italy’s most sought-after red wines. This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot combines international grape varieties with the unique terroir of the Tuscan coast, embodying elegance, finesse and remarkable complexity.


The vineyards benefit from the characteristic limestone- and stone-rich soils, which lend the wines structure, minerality and precision. Following temperature-controlled fermentation in stainless steel tanks, the wine matures for around twelve months in 225-litre barriques, predominantly made of French oak, supplemented by a small proportion of American oak. The barrel mix comprises both new and previously used barriques, which optimally preserves the fruit whilst creating additional complexity. After a short period of bottle ageing, the wine is released for sale. With an alcohol content of 13.5% vol., the Guidalberto 2024 is harmonious, precise and superbly structured. Thanks to its balance and structure, this premium red wine from Tuscany has ageing potential until at least 2035.
