With this bottling, Wolfburn is presenting a 10-year-old single malt for the first time as part of its Small Batch Series, marking a special milestone in the distillery’s history. Limited to just 3,900 bottles, this edition bears the designation Release No. 416 and is aimed at collectors and connoisseurs of exceptional single malts. For the Wolfburn Small Batch Release No. 416, only first-fill Ruby Port casks were used, sourced back in 2016 from Portugal’s famous Douro Valley – one of the world’s oldest protected wine regions. The whisky was matured entirely in these first-fill port casks for ten years, developing exceptional depth and intense fruit and wine aromas as a result. At 46% ABV, this single malt Scotch whisky is full-bodied and well-balanced. The combination of sweet port aromas, dark fruits, subtle oak notes and the typical character of a Highland single malt makes this bottling a truly special tasting experience.
