The cuvée is made from the Blauer Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Merlot grape varieties, which blend to create a harmonious and multi-layered red wine. The vines grow on brown and black earth soils, which provide the grapes with ideal conditions for concentration and expression. The Hill 1 impresses with its balanced structure, lush tannins and a pleasantly mild acidity, through which power and elegance blend together perfectly. With an alcohol content of 13 % vol. and the maturity of the 2016 vintage, this Austrian red wine is already wonderfully approachable, yet still possesses considerable potential for further development.
