Boulard Calvados Pays d'Auge X.O. is one of Normandy’s most renowned Calvados and has been synonymous with the finest distilling skills and traditional craftsmanship for generations. With an alcohol content of 40% by volume in a 0.7-litre bottle, this Pays d’Auge Calvados is produced exclusively in the protected region of origin, Pays d’Auge. For this appellation, double distillation in traditional copper stills is mandatory, resulting in particularly elegant and aromatic distillates. The House of Boulard, founded in 1825, is one of France’s best-known producers and uses carefully selected cider apples from Normandy.

The designation X.O. (Extra Old) indicates a particularly long period of cask ageing, during which the Calvados is stored for many years in French oak casks. During this time, it develops its exceptional depth, harmony and complexity. The ageing process imparts elegant notes of ripe apples, dried fruit, vanilla and delicate spices, accompanied by subtle woody nuances. The result is a full-bodied premium Calvados that combines the fruitiness of the apples with the elegance of long barrel ageing and impressively reflects the typical character of the Pays d’Auge region.
