Zacapa 23 Centenario Gran Reserva, one of the most prestigious and best-known rums in the world, is produced by the Guatemalan rum brand Zacapa, which was founded in 1976. Zacapa is internationally recognised for its high-quality rums, which are produced using a unique and extremely complex ageing process.

The rum is produced in the highlands of Guatemala, where the cool climate and high altitude create optimal conditions for ageing. The sugar cane used, which grows on fertile volcanic soil, gives the rum a distinctive flavour profile that sets it apart from other varieties.

The Ron Zacapa Etiqueta Negra 23 year old, which is the successor to the Ron Zacapa Black Label, is a fine spirit that has been available on the European market since 2004. Produced in Guatemala, this rum matures at an altitude of 2,300 metres, where it is stored particularly gently and can develop its aromas to optimum effect.

Unlike more recent bottlings, this Ron Zacapa Etiqueta Negra has been fully matured for over 23 years and is not produced using the Solera method, making it a rare and rarely available version with "23 Años" on the label. This exclusive rum is without doubt one of the best rums in the world.
