Founded in 1995 by Hans Reisetbauer, the Reisetbauer distillery has established itself in Axberg, Upper Austria. A special feature of the distillery is its focus on sustainable agriculture: all the raw materials required for production are grown and harvested organically on the company's own fields. The entire process, from bottling and labelling to packaging the bottles, is carried out manually and with the utmost care. When Hansi Junior joined the company, it underwent modernisation, which is reflected in the new design of the packaging, labels and brand name, combining tradition and innovation.

For the production of Reisetbauer Blue Gin Austrian Vintage Gin, the Mulan wheat variety is used, which is specially grown in Upper Austria. In order to preserve the fine flavours, the gin is distilled using the gentle pot still method.

This Austrian gin is characterised by its vintage property, with the vintage indicating the year of distillation. Blue Gin is distilled exclusively once a year, between February and May. This emphasises its status as a vintage gin and justifies its designation. Availability is limited, which means that once a vintage is sold out, those interested will have to wait until the following year to enjoy this special gin.
