In this process, the fresh distillate is filtered drop by drop through a thick layer of charcoal made from sugar maple. This special process ensures the legendary mildness and soft character that makes Jack Daniel's so unmistakable. The whiskey then matures in hand-crafted American white oak barrels, where it acquires its flavour and amber hue.
