Hödl Hof Original Zwetschke Schnapps is a high-quality fruit brandy that combines the centuries-old distilling tradition of Styria with modern craftsmanship. Produced in Hödl Hof's time-honoured distillery, the focus is on the highest quality and regional ingredients. The hand-picked plums used come from our own plum orchard and from selected fruit growers in the region.

Production follows the old Styrian tradition of double distillation in copper stills. The brandy is processed particularly gently in a 300-litre bootleg still and a 200-litre fine still made of pure copper. The fruit is stoned after harvesting, fermented at a controlled temperature and then processed in a so-called centrepiece distillation - only the purest and highest quality distillate is extracted. The schnapps then matures in wood, glass or stainless steel until it has reached its perfect harmony of flavour.
