Ouzo is made by distilling pure alcohol with aniseed and various herbs such as fennel, coriander and mastic, which gives it its distinctive flavour.

Today, Ouzo 12 is the best-known ouzo in the world and a symbol of quality and tradition. Produced by double distillation, this process guarantees purity and removes undesirable substances from the ouzo, so that it not only impresses with its flavour, but also with its digestibility. Ouzo 12 is characterised by a rich, natural flavour obtained exclusively from distilled seeds such as fennel, star anise, aniseed, cardamom, cinnamon and nutmeg. More than 5% of the final distillate consists of these aromatic seeds, which give the ouzo its unmistakable, spicy depth.
