Champagne Bollinger SPECIAL CUVÉE Brut 12% ABV in a 0.75-litre bottle is the flagship product of the long-established Champagne Bollinger house and is one of the best-known champagnes from the Champagne region. The name ‘Special Cuvée’ was coined back in 1911, when Champagne Bollinger’s British representative felt that the simple designation ‘Non-Vintage Brut’ did not do justice to the exceptional quality of this champagne. Since then, the name has come to represent the house’s distinctive style and continues to embody Bollinger’s philosophy to this day: to create a champagne of consistent quality, elegance and character, year after year.


The cuvée consists of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier, with over 85% of the grapes coming from Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards. The numerous reserve wines, some of which are aged for between seven and fifteen years in magnum bottles, make a significant contribution to this distinctive style. The ageing on the lees lasts at least twice as long as required by the appellation regulations. With a moderate dosage of 7 to 8 g/l, the Bollinger Special Cuvée Brut is harmonious, elegant and exceptionally complex. This champagne impressively combines power and finesse and ranks among the great classics of Champagne.
