This powerful Austrian red wine cuvée combines the grape varieties Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah to create a complex and structured wine with international style and regional origin. The combination of these varieties brings together the flavour and structure of Blaufränkisch, the power of Cabernet Sauvignon, the smooth fruit of Merlot and the spicy depth of Syrah to create a multi-layered cuvée red wine from Austria.


The wine is matured in barriques, which gives it an elegant woody flavour, additional depth and a harmonious structure. Maturation in oak barrels supports the integration of the tannins and gives Hillinger HILL 1 a complex flavour with Langs development potential. With an alcohol content of 13% vol., this dry red wine is powerful and balanced. Bottled in an impressive 3-litre double magnum bottle, this Burgenland red wine is particularly suitable for festive occasions or sophisticated wine collections. The Hillinger HILL 1 2012 is currently in an excellent drinking phase and has an optimal drinking maturity until at least 2028 and beyond.
