The Hillinger HILL 1 2012, 14.5% ABV, 1.5 l, is one of the most significant wines from the Leo Hillinger Winery and is regarded as the Hillinger estate’s top cuvée. This Austrian red wine from Burgenland combines several international and regional grape varieties to create a powerful yet elegant blend. The blend of Blaufränkisch, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Syrah combines structure, fruit and spice to create a multi-layered premium red wine from Austria with great ageing potential.


The wine is aged in barriques, which lends the Hillinger HILL 1 additional depth, complexity and a subtle woody spice. Careful ageing in oak barrels gives this cuvée red wine from Burgenland a harmonious structure and helps to integrate the robust tannins. With an alcohol content of 14.5% vol., this dry red wine is powerful yet well-balanced. Bottled in a 1.5-litre magnum, this Hillinger red wine is ideal for special occasions or for stylish ageing.
