The Kavalan CONCERTMASTER Port Cask Finish Single Malt Whisky, 40% vol., 0.7 l, combines the innovative spirit of Taiwan’s Kavalan Distillery with the elegant influence of Portuguese port casks. The distillery, located in Yilan County, is one of Asia’s most renowned whisky producers and is known for its exceptional selection of casks and the accelerated maturation process in Taiwan’s subtropical climate. For the Concertmaster Port Cask Finish, the single malt is first matured in carefully selected American oak casks before receiving its finish in Portuguese Ruby Port barriques. This second phase of maturation lends the whisky additional depth, a velvety texture and an elegant fruity sweetness. The 0.7 l bottle is aimed at connoisseurs who appreciate a harmonious and fruit-forward single malt with distinctive cask character.


Thanks to its finish in Ruby Port barriques, the Kavalan Concertmaster develops an impressive balance of tropical fruit flavours, delicate vanilla and a natural sweetness. Taiwan’s warm climate intensifies the interaction between the distillate and the wood, resulting in exceptional complexity even after a comparatively short maturation period. At 40% ABV, the whisky is smooth, full-bodied and well-balanced.
