Description
The Clydeside NAPIER Sherry Cask Matured Lowland Single Malt is an elegant Lowland single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 46 per cent in a 0.7-litre bottle. This bottling is named after the famous Scottish naval architect Robert Napier, whose shipyard was once situated directly opposite what is now the Clydeside Distillery. His motto, ‘Quality, Quality, Quality’, continues to reflect the distillery’s commitment to quality to this day. Made from 100 per cent Scottish barley and crystal-clear water from Loch Katrine, this single malt is matured for over six years in selected Oloroso sherry casks. The result is an expressive whisky that harmoniously combines the classic, elegant Lowland style with the intense influences of sherry cask maturation.
The Clydeside NAPIER impresses with a balanced combination of fruity freshness and spicy depth. Ripe berries, floral rose notes and tropical fruits characterise the bouquet, whilst orange marmalade, cherries, vanilla and subtle sherry notes unfold on the palate. In the long finish, cloves and ginger provide a pleasantly warming spiciness. This Sherry Cask Matured Lowland Single Malt offers a multi-layered tasting experience and is ideal for both connoisseurs and enthusiasts seeking an elegant, fruit-forward single malt with high-quality sherry cask maturation.
