Description
Aperol Aperitivo 11 % Vol. is a world-famous Italian aperitif which, since 1919, has epitomised Italy’s time-honoured aperitivo culture. The original recipe was developed by the brothers Luigi and Silvio Barbieri in Padua, whose creation laid the foundations for one of the world’s best-known aperitif brands. To this day, Aperol is produced according to a closely guarded recipe based on a carefully balanced combination of selected fruits, herbs, roots and spices. The exact composition remains a closely guarded trade secret. As part of the Italian aperitivo tradition, Aperol embodies the convivial culture of sharing a drink together before a meal and has long since become an integral part of international bar culture, extending far beyond Italy’s borders.
The Aperol Aperitivo gained particular fame through the Aperol Spritz, which is now one of the most popular aperitif cocktails. The classic combination of Aperol, Prosecco and Sodawasser has established itself as an integral part of summer evenings on terraces, social gatherings and relaxed aperitivo moments. With an alcohol content of 11% and its generous 1-litre bottle, this Italian aperitif liqueur is particularly well-suited for making several cocktails at celebrations, garden parties or dining events. Its time-honoured recipe, its versatility in cocktail mixing and its close connection to Italian culinary culture make Aperol Original a classic amongst aperitifs. As well as the well-known Spritz, it can be used to make numerous other long drinks and creative cocktail variations.
