Brugal 1888 Ron Reserva Doblemente Añejado is a high-quality premium rum from the Dominican Republic, with an alcohol content of 40 per cent, available in a 0.7-litre bottle. What sets it apart is its elaborate double cask ageing process, in which two different types of cask are specifically combined. First, the rum is aged in ex-Bourbon casks made from American oak, followed by a second ageing phase in Spanish Oloroso sherry casks.
